Al-Zahraa University for Women, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), has received initial approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to launch a graduate program in generative artificial intelligence—a step that reinforces the university’s commitment to advancing modern and emerging fields of study.

University President Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani stated, “As part of our strategic vision, we aim to expand scientific and knowledge-based programs, beginning with graduate studies in rare and high-impact specializations.”

She noted that the approval to launch a program in generative AI marks a key milestone, describing the field as “vital and innovative, in line with global advancements in technology and education.”

Dr. Al-Sultani also revealed plans to establish future graduate programs in key medical fields such as dentistry, radiology, and pharmacy, in accordance with the Ministry’s policies and national development goals.

This initiative reflects Al-Zahraa University's dedication to academic excellence and innovation, empowering female scholars to contribute to Iraq’s progress. It is also in line with the Holy Shrine’s broader vision of building a modern, knowledge-based society.
