Religious Organization to Open the Largest Autism Center in Iraq
The Department of Strategic Projects at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the continuation of work in the largest specialized center for autism in Iraq.
The project of ‘Imam Hussain Institute for Autism’ lies on the road linking the provinces of Karbala and Baghdad.
The head of the department, Engineer Muntadhar Jabbar al-Mousawi, said, “Our construction workers and engineers have made significant progress in this one-of-a-kind project. The completion rate has exceeded 90%.”
“The project includes 37 group classes, 33 individual classes, and 13 lecture halls, in addition to sports halls, a restaurant, a talent show hall, a hydrotherapy pool, and speech therapy rooms," added al-Mousawi.
Imam Hussain Institute for Autism is being built according to international standards and is expected to open in the first half of 2020.
