Uzbekistan has reached a significant global milestone as the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest museum of Islamic civilization in the world.

Situated within the historic Hazrat Imam Complex, the project was launched on the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It was conceived as a modern cultural and research center dedicated to showcasing the intellectual and scientific contributions of prominent Eastern scholars.

The complex is notable for its remarkable scale, covering approximately 10 hectares. The main structure measures 161 meters in length and 118 meters in width, with a dome rising to a height of 65 meters. Its total interior area spans roughly 50,000 square meters—figures that contributed to its record-breaking recognition.

The official certificate was presented during a formal ceremony by Guinness World Records representative Seyda Subasi.

In addition to this achievement, the museum has also been recognized as the best museum in the Turkic world, further enhancing its standing as a leading international cultural institution.
