Warith International Oncology Center represents Iraq at global conference in Geneva
The Warith International Oncology Center marked a significant international milestone with its first participation in the World Hospitals Congress, held in Geneva, which brought together more than 1,500 healthcare leaders from 80 countries.
In a statement, the center—affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine—said the participation provided an important platform to represent Iraq and showcase its experience in oncology care. One of the center’s healthcare initiatives was presented as a pioneering model for delivering advanced medical services.
The center noted that its presence at the international event reflects the growing capabilities of Iraqi healthcare institutions to improve service quality and adopt global medical standards, despite existing challenges.
It added that the participation is the result of four years of continuous development and reaffirmed its commitment to providing advanced, patient-centered care based on modern scientific practices. This includes subsidized treatment for adults and free care for children, reflecting its humanitarian mission.
