The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is preparing to participate in the Baghdad International Book Fair as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its cultural and intellectual presence at local exhibitions and events and showcase its scholarly and intellectual publications.

The Holy Shrine’s Exhibitions Division is finalizing preparations for the event, including setting up the pavilion and organizing and categorizing its publications. The pavilion will provide visitors, researchers, and intellectuals with an opportunity to explore the Shrine’s diverse body of cultural and scholarly works.

The pavilion will feature a wide range of publications covering religious, intellectual, cultural, historical, and heritage-related topics, in addition to research papers, academic studies, and specialized books produced by various departments and institutions affiliated with the Holy Shrine.

Speaking to Karbala Now news agency, Sayed Ali Mamitha, Head of the Holy Shrine’s Exhibitions Division, said, “Our preparations for the Baghdad International Book Fair reflect the Holy Shrine’s commitment to maintaining an active presence in cultural forums and sharing its intellectual and scholarly output with readers, researchers, and intellectuals.”

He added, “We are working to ensure that our participation reflects the stature of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine by creating a comprehensive pavilion featuring a diverse collection of publications, while also presenting an overview of the Shrine’s cultural and intellectual projects and initiatives.”

Mamitha noted that “the Baghdad International Book Fair provides an important platform for direct engagement with the public, introducing new books and publications, and fostering cooperation and communication with participating cultural institutions and publishing houses.”

The participation continues the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s involvement in local and international book fairs and cultural exhibitions. It reflects the Shrine’s broader vision of disseminating knowledge and culture, promoting a culture of reading, and introducing the public to the heritage and intellectual legacy of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).

The Exhibitions Division continues to make final preparations ahead of the fair, with a focus on creating an engaging cultural experience and giving visitors the opportunity to explore the Holy Shrine’s latest publications and scholarly works.
