Imam Hussain Holy Shrine launches first phase of “1,000 Leader-Programmers” initiative
Under the patronage of the Technical Education Authority of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, the first phase of the “1,000 Leader-Programmers” initiative has been launched as part of efforts to support scientific and technological development and prepare a new generation equipped with leadership, programming, and Artificial Intelligence skills.
Dr. Abbas Al-Da’ami, head of the authority, said the initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to supporting quality educational programs that prepare young people to keep pace with the rapid developments of the digital age.
He explained that the project aims to train 1,000 young participants with advanced technical knowledge and intellectual awareness, enabling them to contribute to building a knowledge-based society and supporting the country’s ongoing digital transformation.
During the event, students who participated in the “AI for Kids” course were honored in recognition of their efforts in learning the basics of modern technology. The ceremony was attended by a number of academics and technology enthusiasts.
Al-Da’ami added that the first team for the “1,000 Leader-Programmers” initiative was also formed during the event, serving as the foundation for the broader program that will expand in the coming months. The initiative includes several training pillars, including leadership and personal development, management skills, English language training, critical thinking, and the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, programming, and modern technologies.
Through this initiative, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine aims to support youth development and equip participants with future-ready skills that contribute to strengthening national capabilities and advancing a knowledge-based society.
