UN experts: Ban on 37 aid groups makes life unbearable for genocide survivors in Palestine
United Nations experts said on Thursday that Israel’s suspension of dozens of humanitarian organizations operating in the occupied Palestinian territory constitutes a flagrant violation of international law. They accused Israel of “worsening life-threatening conditions” by obstructing humanitarian aid, according to media sources.
“Banning life-saving organizations from operating in Gaza marks a new phase in a policy that renders life unbearable for a population already devastated by genocide,” the experts stated. They warned that such measures would create conditions of chronic deprivation, threaten the survival of Palestinians as a group, and further violate the Genocide Convention, stressing that the policy must be halted.
The experts noted that the measure, announced as a national security regulation on December 30, 2025, bans 37 international non-governmental organizations from operating in Gaza and the West Bank.
