New mosque inaugurated in Brazil’s southwestern state of Paraná
The first mosque and Islamic charity cultural center in Brazil’s southwestern state of Paraná has been inaugurated under the sponsorship of the Center for Islamic Propagation in Latin America (CDIAL).
According to the Muslims Around the World website, the mosque and center were officially opened during a ceremony in the city of Dois Vizinhos. The inauguration marks a significant step in strengthening the Muslim presence in the region and promoting the values of faith, solidarity, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence.
The ceremony was attended by several local and religious leaders in the South American country.
The establishment of the mosque and cultural center represents the collective efforts of the local Muslim community to support institutions that promote interfaith dialogue and strengthen social ties. As a place of learning, spirituality, and unity, the mosque aims to spread peace and knowledge throughout the region.
Located in the southwestern part of Paraná, the city of Dois Vizinhos is an important economic and agricultural hub known for its production of cereals such as corn and soybeans.
