Sayyida Zainab Al-Kubra Specialized Eye Surgical Center, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Hussain, announced the establishment of the largest specialized ophthalmology hospital in Karbala province.

The director of the center, Dr. Uday Al-Salami, said, "Under the guidance of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaey, the largest hospital specializing in ophthalmology will be established."

The hospital will consist of nine floors and will be built on an area of 1.25 hectares.

"The new hospital will include advanced operating wards that are the first of their kind in order to provide the best medical services to citizens, without the need of travelling abroad," added Al-Salami.

Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is implementing many service projects, especially in the health sector, and is also working to provide treatment services to citizens from all Iraqi provinces.
