Imam Hussain Holy Shrine opens medical rehabilitation center at Al-Sibtayn International University for Medical Sciences
In the presence of Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaey, representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine inaugurated an integrated medical rehabilitation center at Al-Sibtayn International University for Medical Sciences. The initiative aims to expand rehabilitation services and support patients throughout their recovery journeys.
University President Dr. Rahim Mahdi Rahim told the Shrine’s official website that “the center represents a significant qualitative addition to the university’s medical and educational services, thanks to its modern capabilities and advanced technologies in medical rehabilitation.”
He explained that the center is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and specialized equipment for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, enabling it to provide specialized rehabilitation services through modern, evidence-based approaches.
Dr. Rahim added that the center will also strengthen clinical training for students in relevant medical disciplines by providing a practical learning environment where they can develop their clinical skills and bridge the gap between academic theory and clinical practice.
The inauguration reflects the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s continued efforts to advance healthcare and educational institutions by fostering an integrated environment that combines specialized rehabilitation services, hands-on clinical training, and comprehensive support for patient recovery.
