Iraq is witnessing a notable increase in the number of tourists arriving from various Arab and foreign countries, according to Major General Miqdad Miri, Head of the Relations and Media Department at the Ministry of Interior.

In a statement, Miri said the growing influx of international visitors reflects the security stability and sustained recovery Iraq has experienced in recent times.

He explained that the Ministry of Interior, in coordination with relevant authorities, is working to facilitate the entry procedures for visitors in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and official instructions.

Miri noted that these measures are expected to contribute to revitalizing Iraq’s tourism sector and strengthening the country’s positive image as a destination for international visitors.
