Thousands of mourners gathered in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, on the 19th of Safar to commemorate Arbaeen, honoring the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and his companions.

The central procession began at the G-6/2 Central Hussainiya and followed its traditional route through the city before concluding at 8:00 p.m. Participants recited elegies, performed ritual mourning (latum), and reflected on the events of Karbala in remembrance of the martyrs.

Service processions (mawakib) lined the route, offering water, refreshments, and hospitality to participants throughout the march.

The event was held under extensive security and organizational arrangements. Police, security agencies, rescue teams, and volunteers coordinated to ensure the procession proceeded safely, while a special traffic plan, including alternative routes, helped minimize disruptions and maintain public safety.
