Hajj flights resume from Najaf Al-Ashraf International Airport
Haider Al-Miyali, Director of Najaf Al-Ashraf International Airport, confirmed that flights transporting Iraqi pilgrims to the Holy House of God are continuing for a second consecutive day, with departures bound for Medina.
He noted that operations are proceeding smoothly, with comprehensive services provided to pilgrims—from their arrival at the airport’s main gate through to boarding.
Al-Miyali added that approximately 450 pilgrims have departed so far, while the total number expected to travel through the airport is around 1,500. These journeys are scheduled across 14 to 16 flights operated by the national carrier.
Local residents in Najaf welcomed the resumption of airport operations after a suspension lasting more than two months, praising the improved services currently offered at the facility.
