Last Sunday, OPEC reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment—alongside several other member states—to maintaining stability in global oil markets.

The organization stated that Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman are working collectively to stabilize the market by adjusting oil production levels.

According to OPEC, the seven countries have agreed to a combined production adjustment of 188,000 barrels per day as part of their coordinated efforts to support market balance.

The organization added that the adjustment is scheduled to take effect in June 2026.
