Donation campaign launched in Karbala to support the Iranian and Lebanese peoples
The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain has launched a humanitarian donation campaign in response to a call by the Supreme Religious Authority in Najaf, aimed at supporting the Lebanese and Iranian peoples amid the difficult circumstances they are currently facing.
Our correspondent reported that the campaign—launched in the presence of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaey—comes as part of the Shrine’s humanitarian and religious role in assisting affected populations, particularly during times of crisis. He emphasized the importance of solidarity and mutual support among Muslims, calling on believers to contribute according to their means, whether through financial donations or relief supplies.
The correspondent added that this initiative is part of a broader series of humanitarian efforts undertaken by the Holy Shrines in Iraq to promote cooperation and social solidarity among Islamic communities.
In a statement received by Karbala Now, the Holy Shrine affirmed that donations will be delivered through reliable channels to ensure they reach beneficiaries in Lebanon and Iran, reiterating its commitment to continuing such initiatives in support of those in need.
