Imam Hussain Holy Shrine inaugurates the Imam Hussain Cultural Center in Pakistan
The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), through its International Media Center under the Media Department and in cooperation with Al-Kawthar Islamic University, has inaugurated the Imam Hussain Cultural Center in Pakistan.
The opening ceremony was attended by the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority in Pakistan, along with a large gathering of clerics, intellectuals, academics, and members of different segments of society from various Islamic sects.
According to our correspondent, the ceremony featured discussion sessions and research presentations highlighting the importance of peaceful coexistence among Islamic sects, inspired by the message of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) in promoting unity, tolerance, and mutual understanding.
His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, the representative of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), delivered a speech in which he emphasized the pivotal role of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) in rejecting division, uniting the Muslim nation, and making Karbala a beacon of guidance and humanity for all peoples.
In his address, His Eminence Sheikh Anwar Al-Najafi, the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority in Pakistan, welcomed the delegation from the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and commended its continuous efforts to spread the culture of love, peace, and coexistence throughout the world. The ceremony also included the screening of documentaries showcasing the humanitarian and service projects carried out by the Holy Shrine.
The Head of the Media Department, Mr. Abbas Al-Khafaji, expressed his pride in the establishment of the new center, noting that it will serve as a vital bridge for cultural and media communication between the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and the Pakistani people.
Similarly, the Director of the International Media Center, Mr. Haidar Al-Mangooshi, stated that the inauguration of the Imam Hussain Cultural Center aligns with the Shrine’s broader vision of expanding its cultural and media presence globally. He explained that the center will strive to convey the message of Karbala to diverse audiences in their own languages and cultures, showcasing the luminous human values of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).
The ceremony concluded with the screening of a documentary on the Arbaeen pilgrimage and the services provided to the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), amid an atmosphere of enthusiasm and wide public participation.
