Delegation from the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine visits Al-Kawthar University in Pakistan
A delegation from the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine visited Al-Kawthar University for Religious Sciences in Islamabad, Pakistan, as part of the Shrine’s ongoing efforts to strengthen scientific and cultural cooperation with academic institutions across the Islamic world.
According to our correspondent, the delegation included His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, Director of the Bayna Center for Intellectual Security; Mr. Abbas Al-Khafaji, Head of the Media Department; and Mr. Haidar Al-Mangooshi, Director of the International Media Center, along with a number of media professionals from the Holy Shrine.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the university’s approved academic curricula and held discussions with faculty members on potential avenues for collaboration in scientific and religious fields. These discussions aimed to promote the teachings of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) and to reinforce their humanitarian values within academic environments.
The delegation also presented the banner of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) to Al-Kawthar University, symbolizing the deep spiritual and scholarly ties that connect the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine with religious institutions in Pakistan.
Sheikh Ahmed Hussein Fakhruddin, Head of the Department of Interpretation and Quranic Studies at Al-Kawthar University, expressed his delight at the visit, emphasizing that it represents a significant step toward enhancing scientific and cultural relations with the holy shrines in Iraq.
He extended his gratitude and appreciation to His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaey for his continuous concern, wise guidance, and ongoing support for the followers of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) and for scientific and religious institutions in Pakistan.
