Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority praises success of fourth preaching tour in Indonesia
In affirmation of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s commitment to promoting the culture of the Holy Quran and strengthening academic and religious ties at the international level, the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaey, praised the success of the fourth preaching tour organized by the Holy Shrine’s delegation across several Indonesian cities. The tour witnessed remarkable engagement from diverse academic and religious circles.
During a meeting with the delegation, Sheikh Al-Karbalaey commended the team’s efforts, stating, “We deeply appreciate the great efforts made by the Holy Shrine delegation during this blessed tour, which successfully conveyed the message of the Holy Quran and the teachings of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) to the Indonesian community. The wide resonance and strong interaction we witnessed underscore the importance of continuing such propagation initiatives.”
He also called for enhancing academic cooperation between Iraq and Indonesia through the exchange of academic expertise and the provision of scholarships for students of religious sciences, noting that such initiatives strengthen Islamic brotherhood and foster cultural and intellectual openness between the two nations.
Professor Muntadhar Al-Mansouri, Director of the International Quranic Preaching Center at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), reviewed the tour’s main achievements, noting that it complements a series of earlier preaching missions.
“The tour aimed to deepen Quranic relations and expand channels of knowledge between the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and academic institutions in Indonesia,” he said.
Al-Mansouri explained that the delegation visited a number of religious institutes, government universities, and Quranic centers across various Indonesian cities. They also met with prominent religious and academic figures, delivered Quranic lectures and cultural programs, and organized activities designed to clarify the message of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) and address misconceptions about their followers.
He added that the Indonesian community showed strong enthusiasm for the Holy Shrine’s Quranic programs, reflecting a profound interest in the Holy Quran and a genuine desire to learn from Iraq’s scientific and religious experiences.
At the conclusion of the tour, the delegation members were honored with copies of the Holy Quran printed by the Imam Hussain Holy Quran and certificates of appreciation in recognition of their contributions. They also met with the Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, Hajj Hassan Rashid Al-Abayechi, who congratulated them on the successful outcomes of the visit and presented commemorative gifts to encourage the continuation of such initiatives that enhance the Holy Shrine’s Quranic and cultural presence in international forums.
