New World-Class Hospital Opening Soon in Karbala
The Department of Engineering and Technical Projects at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced the achievement of advanced stages in the Sheikh Ahmad al-Waeli Hospital project in Karbala, Iraq.
“The project’s first stage, which includes the services and emergency departments, laboratory, the fractures and eyes departments, operations and intensive care halls, in addition to inpatient care rooms and a restaurant, has reached the completion rate of 93%, while the second stage, which includes the on-call rooms, radiology and other departments, has reached 35%,” said Eng. Sajjad Muhammad Hassan.
Sheikh Ahmad al-Waeli Hospital will have over 160 wards and 8 operating rooms equipped with high-end medical devices.
Hassan adds, “Imam Hussain Holy Shrine aims to offer great medical services to Iraqi citizens, without the need to travel abroad for treatment.”
