Sheikh Salim Al-Amiri, head of the Central Guidance Committee of the Hajj and Umrah Commission, announced that around 900 male and female religious guides have been assigned to accompany pilgrim convoys during the Hajj season.

He explained that the guides are responsible for providing step-by-step explanations of the Umrah and Hajj rituals, while also ensuring that pilgrims adhere to the instructions issued by Saudi Arabia’s Ministries of Hajj and Interior. Educational sessions are being held in hotel halls, where guides answer pilgrims’ questions and offer practical support to help them perform their religious duties properly.

Al-Amiri added that awareness efforts include virtual and practical demonstrations to clarify the rulings, obligations, and recommended practices of the Hajj and Umrah rituals.

Meanwhile, Fallah Kadhim, head of the Central Guidance Committee of the Iraqi Hajj Mission, confirmed the successful completion of Iraq’s overland pilgrimage route to Medina, with approximately 25,000 pilgrims having arrived. He noted that preparations are underway to transfer pilgrims from Medina to Mecca, including finalizing arrangements for transportation, lodging, and meals.

The Supreme Hajj and Umrah Commission has contracted 1,460 modern buses, each carrying a maximum of 24 pilgrims to ensure comfort and sufficient space during travel. Kadhim added that by early June, all Iraqi pilgrims are expected to arrive in Mecca in preparation for performing the Hajj rituals.
