Lebanese Parliament Speaker expresses gratitude to Supreme Religious Authority and Iraqi people for continued support
On Monday, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri expressed his deep gratitude to the Supreme Religious Authority and the people of Iraq for their unwavering support for Lebanon.
According to a statement from his media office, Berri received a phone call from Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, during which the Prime Minister congratulated him on his efforts to facilitate the election of a new Lebanese president and his role in halting the Zionist aggression on Lebanon.
Berri thanked Iraq, including its Prime Minister, religious authorities, and the Iraqi people, for their enduring solidarity with Lebanon throughout various challenges, particularly during the recent Zionist aggression. He specifically acknowledged the Iraqi people's compassion in providing refuge to displaced Lebanese families during the conflict.
