The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain organized a celebration in Erbil province to mark the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). The event was attended by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Safi, head of the Shrine’s Religious Affairs Department, and Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, the Shrine’s representative in Kurdistan.

The celebration began with a blessed recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a profound lecture by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Safi. In his speech, Sheikh Al-Safi highlighted the esteemed status of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and reflected on his exceptional moral character.

Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, in a statement to Karbala International Agency, shared that the event saw a remarkable participation from children, who recited heartfelt poems expressing their love and devotion to Imam Ali (peace be upon him). Their performances added an atmosphere of joy and festivity to the celebration.

The event concluded with a communal dinner, further emphasizing the spirit of love, harmony, and brotherhood among all religions and sects in Iraq.
