Digital library in Karbala provides its services via memberships
The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at Al-Abbas Holy Shrine announced the launch of its new digital library that is based on a membership system for the first time in Iraq.
The library was programmed, developed and designed by the department’s Digital Information Center.
“We have been working on this library For more than five years, and it’s the first in the country to adopt a membership system, which aims to improve the user experience and simplify procedures, allowing for a better experience and easier use,” said Sayed Ammar Al-Jawad, center director.
He added that the membership system provides researchers the ability to create accounts and benefit from the digital library services, without the need to re-enter their data with each entry.
The library contains more than a quarter of a million sources and features online technical support.
