The representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sayyed Jawad Al-Shahristani, visited the Alevi community in Turkey, as part of his program of visits to religious institutions and inaugurating a number of projects for the Ahlulbayt Foundation in Istanbul.

Dr. Ezzedine Dogan, head of the Alevi community in Istanbul, said, “We welcome the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority in Iraq, and we hope for continued cooperation with His Eminence.”

Sayyed Al-Shahrestani toured the Islamic center of the Alevis and praised the community's work.

"The presence of Ayatollah Sayyed Al-Sistani in Najaf is a great blessing for Iraq, Turkey, and Islamic countries, due to his calls for Islamic unity," added Dr. Dogan.
