Sponsored by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), the Libya Quran Assembly is organizing an international conference on translation of the Quran in Tripoli, the capital of Libya.

‘Precise translation of the Quran’s concepts, a means for promotion of Islam’ is the main theme of the scholarly event.

The subthemes include cultural features of the language of the Quran, history of Quran translation, theories of translation, and role of academic and research institutions in Quran translation.

The aim of the conference is to study current translations of the meanings of the Quran, discuss associated challenges, propose suitable solutions, encourage research in the field, and plan for simplified and reliable translations of the Quranic meanings into widely spoken languages.

A large number of scholars, researchers and religious figures and officials from different countries are taking part in the event.
