OIC's Banjul Summit calls to end genocide of Palestinians
The 15th Islamic Summit Conference of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Banjul, the capital of The Gambia, called for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire to stop the genocide committed by the Zionist occupation in Gaza.
The organization’s leaders and heads of state affirmed their solidarity in confronting the humanitarian catastrophe befalling the Gaza Strip and its people due to the ongoing Zionist aggression for more than six months without respite or regard for the most basic moral and humanitarian values, calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire for the comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
They expressed the importance of resorting to dialogue and mediation in settling disputes in a way that provides a tension-free atmosphere among the countries of the Islamic nation, and emphasized on the importance of strengthening preventive diplomacy in order to contribute effectively to establishing peace, protecting lives and resources.
The Islamic Summit noted the bias that some Western media outlets are subjecting to the Palestinian issue without exposing the violations of the Zionist occupation and enabling the Palestinian people to obtain their rights.
