The Shrine holds Ramadan events in Kurdistan region of Iraq
The Religious Affairs Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced plans to establish a Ramadan programme in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, starting from the 15th up to the end of Ramadan.
Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, the advisor to the head of the Religious Affairs Department at the Holy Shrine, said, "The department is evaluating the Ramadan programme from Ramadan 15, which coincides with the birth anniversary of Imam Al-Hassan (PBUH)."
He stated, "The programme includes Qur'anic recitations, lectures on Qur’anic development, explaining noble verses, and discussion sessions about the Holy Qur'an."
Al-Qarawi pointed out that "the programme includes holding a daily Iftar banquet as well as providing approximately over 700 food baskets to financially challenged families in the Kurdistan Region."
