The preparatory committee for the 5th International “Kawthar Al-Isma” Cultural Festival is continuing its preparations for the event, organized by the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her).

The festival’s program will feature a diverse range of cultural, intellectual, artistic, and media activities designed to reflect the significance of the occasion and promote meaningful engagement with the life and legacy of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra.

Abdul-Amir Taha, a member of the preparatory committee, told Karbala Now that the committee’s latest meeting focused on key organizational preparations, particularly plans for the festival’s artistic and media programs. He stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to deliver high-quality and enriching activities.

Taha added that the committee is holding regular meetings to monitor preparations and finalize the organizational, technical, and media requirements. The ongoing work is aimed at refining the festival’s programs and ensuring that its activities are presented in a manner consistent with its cultural and intellectual objectives.

He explained that the International “Kawthar Al-Isma” Cultural Festival seeks to highlight the life and legacy of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and draw inspiration from the human, ethical, and intellectual values reflected in her life. The festival also aims to strengthen the scholarly and ethical identity of Muslim women and raise awareness of their status and role in society.

“The festival seeks to enrich the cultural and intellectual landscape through a range of cultural, artistic, and media programs and events,” Taha said. “These initiatives aim to promote values such as love, peace, and altruism and strengthen their presence within society.”

He noted that the preparatory committee will continue working to complete the festival’s organizational, technical, and media arrangements and further refine its programs, with the goal of delivering an outstanding fifth edition that reflects the significance of the occasion and fulfills its cultural and intellectual objectives.
