The Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Najaf hosted a specialized training course on manuscript preservation and restoration for students from the University of Kufa's Faculty of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage.

Organized by the Shrine's Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department, the program is part of ongoing efforts to preserve Islamic heritage and strengthen academic cooperation with Iraqi universities.

The course combined lectures on manuscript preservation with practical workshops on restoration techniques, giving students hands-on experience in conserving historical documents.

Ammar Mashaallah, Deputy Head of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department, said the initiative aims to raise students' awareness of the historical and cultural significance of manuscripts and prepare qualified specialists to help preserve Iraq's Islamic heritage for future generations.
