Dhi Qar Governorate has completed preparations to receive Arbaeen pilgrims traveling on foot to the holy city of Karbala, including pilgrims arriving from the Islamic Republic of Iran and Kuwait.

Service tents have been established and hospitality supplies stocked along the pilgrimage routes to support the millions of visitors expected during the annual religious event.

Rahim Al-Zaidi, head of the Hussaini Processions Authority in Dhi Qar, said all logistical and service preparations have been completed for the Hussaini Mawkibs (pilgrim service stations) operating along the route between the borders of Basra and Al-Muthanna governorates. He added that 838 Mawkibs have been deployed across the route to provide food, refreshments, accommodation, and other essential services to pilgrims.
