The Holy Shrine of Al-Abbas launches second relief convoy for the Iranian people
Mustafa Mortada Dia Al-Din, Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Al-Abbas, announced the departure of a second humanitarian convoy as part of a series of relief, medical, and humanitarian aid shipments provided by the Holy Shrine to the Iranian people. He described the initiative as “a living embodiment of the values of our Master Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), represented in support, brotherhood, and loyalty.”
He explained that the Holy Shrine regards this assistance not as an act of charity or favor, but as “a moral responsibility and a humanitarian message inspired by enduring divine values, the principles of our true faith, and the righteous guidance of the Supreme Religious Authority—may God prolong the life of its leader, the Master of Najaf, Imam Sayyed Ali Al-Hussaini Al-Sistani.”
Al-Din added that the Supreme Religious Authority has consistently emphasized the principle of humanitarian solidarity through the guidance of its representative, His Eminence Sayyed Ahmed Al-Safi, who has encouraged the Holy Shrine of Al-Abbas to incorporate these values into its broader humanitarian vision and mission of strengthening compassion and solidarity among peoples.
He further stated, “Providing aid is among the noblest forms of worship. It protects human dignity, alleviates suffering during times of hardship and crisis, and helps people move from the constraints of deprivation toward a life of dignity. We pray to Almighty God to ease this ordeal for those affected, lighten the burdens carried by these honorable families, remove the darkness of this affliction, and bless all those who contributed to this humanitarian effort. We also offer our sincere prayers for a swift and near relief.”
Al-Din revealed that the second relief convoy consisted of 10 trucks carrying 137 tons of food supplies, 18 tons of medical aid, 20 dialysis machines, and one heavy vehicle (wheel loader).
