The Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Nicola Fontana, visited the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine in the holy city of Karbala.

The ambassador was received by Board Member Dr. Afdhal Al-Shami and the Head of the Public Relations Department, Mohammad Ali Azhar Al-Shammari.

During the visit, Al-Shami briefed the Italian ambassador on several urban development and service projects being implemented by the holy shrine. Ambassador Fontana praised the efforts undertaken to serve visitors and pilgrims in the city of Karbala, commending the level of services provided.

The Al-Abbas Holy Shrine regularly welcomes official delegations and international figures as part of its efforts to showcase its developmental, cultural, and community service projects, as well as its broader role in serving society.
