The Holy Shrine of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) inaugurated the Sayed Jafar Al-Hilli Emergency Medical Services Center in conjunction with the anniversary of the birth of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).
The opening ceremony was attended by His Eminence Sayed Ahmed Al-Safi, along with several officials from the Holy Shrine, the Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi, and the Governor of Karbala, Mr. Nuseyef Al-Khattabi.
Following the ceremony, attendees toured the center’s various departments and received a detailed briefing on the medical services offered and the operational mechanisms of each unit. The center is equipped with advanced medical devices and modern technologies, enabling rapid diagnosis and precise treatment of emergency cases. This initiative contributes to enhancing comprehensive healthcare services for the pilgrims of Imam Hussain and his brother Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them).

She added that the center includes a pharmacy; two emergency rooms—one for men and one for women; two physicians’ offices; a specialized dental unit; a laboratory; a minor surgery room; ultrasound and X-ray facilities; as well as an administrative wing. She noted that it is the first center in the city to offer this type of free emergency medical service.
