The Health and Medical Education Authority at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain has announced the arrival of a state-of-the-art medical system designed to provide the safest and most advanced treatment environment at Imam Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) Hospital for Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, which operates under the authority of the Holy Shrine.

Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, Head of the Authority, stated in an interview with the Shrine’s official website that the Health and Medical Education Authority continues to enhance its systems and treatment protocols for patients at Imam Al-Mujtaba Hospital. “This time, the latest specialized system has been acquired to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality in patient care,” he said.

Dr. Al-Abadi explained that the new system consists of closed, contamination-controlled rooms where treatments are prepared under strict sterile conditions to prevent any transfer of impurities to medication or patients. He added, “This is the first system of its kind in Iraq, and it is scheduled to be fully operational by early 2026.”

He emphasized that the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, through its hospitals and medical centers, continues to provide comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services to citizens across Iraq—from north to south and east to west—as well as to patients and visitors from abroad.
