As part of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, the General Cultural Procession of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine has launched a large-scale book fair, showcasing over 1,000 publications along the main routes to the holy city of Karbala.

The Departments of Intellectual Affairs and Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs of the Holy Shrine are actively participating in this initiative. Their cultural stations have been set up along three major pilgrimage routes: Najaf-Karbala, Babylon-Karbala, and Baghdad-Karbala.

Mr. Muhammad Al-Araji, an official from the Intellectual Affairs Department, stated, “The General Cultural Procession, established along the three main routes leading to Karbala, features more than 1,000 publications produced by the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine. These cover a range of topics including thought, culture, religion, and general knowledge. Our goal is to expand cultural engagement and provide content that strengthens religious identity and promotes moral values.”

He added that this initiative is part of a broader series of cultural programs held during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, aiming to promote awareness and cultural enrichment among diverse segments of society.

The participating departments continue to offer religious, educational, and heritage-based services through their stations along the routes, contributing to a spiritually enriching experience for pilgrims en route to Karbala.
