Sayyed Al-Awsiya Pilgrims City, located on the Karbala-Baghdad road and affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), is preparing to receive pilgrims from across the globe for the Arbaeen pilgrimage. The city has already begun welcoming pilgrims from various Iraqi governorates.

Speaking to Karbala Now Agency, Sayyed Ali Al-Hussaini, Media Director of the Pilgrims City, stated, “We are fully prepared to receive the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.” He noted that efforts are underway across multiple areas, particularly in the service sector. “We have prepared 22 halls across two floors, each equipped with all necessary amenities to ensure the comfort of the honorable pilgrims,” he added.

The city’s restaurant will provide three meals daily, both within and outside the complex, as part of its large-scale hospitality initiative. On the healthcare front, a fully operational medical center has been established in collaboration with the Baghdad/Rusafa Health Directorate. Two medical points—one inside the city and another at its perimeter—have been set up to offer medical services to pilgrims.

Al-Hussaini also highlighted the city’s cultural initiatives, “In cooperation with the Al-Qabas Foundation for Culture and Development and several departments of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, we have established multiple cultural centers. Their purpose is to educate, inspire, and spiritually enrich pilgrims before they continue their journey to the shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).”
