The University of Karachi hosted the annual Imam Hussain Day festival, organized by the Imamia Students Organization (ISO), bringing together scholars, academics, students, and religious leaders from various Islamic schools of thought.

The event aimed to promote the values of Imam Hussain's movement, including justice, unity, ethics, social responsibility, and humanitarian service. It opened with Quran recitation, followed by speeches and elegies highlighting the religious, intellectual, and humanitarian legacy of Karbala.

Speakers, including Sayyid Farrukh Abbas Razvi, Sayyid Shahanshah Hussain Naqvi, University of Karachi Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, and Islamic unity advocate Mufti Fazal Hamdard, emphasized that Imam Hussain's message of justice, freedom, integrity, and resistance to oppression remains relevant for all humanity. They encouraged young people to draw inspiration from his example to strengthen moral values, social responsibility, and unity.

The festival concluded with prayers for the unity of the Islamic Ummah, peace and stability in Pakistan, and the continued promotion of Imam Hussain's enduring values of justice and service to humanity.
