The Seoul Central Mosque has grown into a leading Islamic institution in South Korea, serving as a center for worship, education, outreach, and community engagement under the supervision of the Korea Muslim Federation.

Situated in the heart of Seoul, the mosque welcomes Muslims from a wide range of national and cultural backgrounds. Its Friday sermons are delivered in multiple languages, including Arabic, Korean, and English, enabling worshippers from diverse communities to understand and connect with the religious message.

The Korea Muslim Federation also organizes regular youth programs, including Quran classes, lessons on the life of Prophet Muhammad, and interactive educational workshops. These initiatives aim to strengthen Islamic identity among younger generations while encouraging constructive engagement with Korean society.

In addition, the mosque offers monthly introductory courses on Islam that cover core beliefs, acts of worship, Islamic history, practical instruction in ablution and prayer, and the memorization of short Quranic chapters. Some participants later choose to embrace Islam through conversion ceremonies held in the presence of the wider Muslim community.

Beyond religious education, the mosque fosters connections between new and long-standing members of the Muslim community through lectures, workshops, and social activities. It also engages with broader Korean society through Korean-language programs and partnerships with local and international institutions.

Since its opening in 1976, the Seoul Central Mosque has remained South Korea’s most prominent Islamic landmark and a central hub for Muslim religious life, education, outreach, and interfaith understanding.
