The Islamic Union of Poland is participating in the Warsaw International Book Fair 2026, one of Europe’s largest literary and cultural events, with a dedicated exhibition booth highlighting Islamic heritage and the long history of Muslims in Poland.

According to the Muslims Around the World website, the booth features a diverse collection of religious and cultural publications, including works documenting more than 600 years of Muslim presence in the Eastern European nation.

The fair, which opened on May 28 at Warsaw’s PGE Narodowy Stadium and runs through Sunday, attracts publishers, writers, cultural institutions, and intellectuals from around the globe.

Visitors to the Islamic Union’s exhibit can explore a wide range of books on Islamic thought, heritage, and the history of Poland’s Muslim community. The participation reflects the community’s commitment to preserving its religious and cultural identity while presenting Islamic heritage as an integral part of Poland’s historical and cultural landscape.

Beyond displaying books and publications, the initiative aims to promote a deeper understanding of Islam’s contributions to Polish society and to highlight the values of coexistence, cultural openness, and civilizational partnership that have characterized the Muslim presence in Poland for centuries.

The Islamic Union of Poland is among Europe’s oldest officially recognized Islamic organizations, having received legal recognition in the 1920s. The history of Islam in Poland extends back more than six centuries, making the Muslim community an enduring and important part of the nation’s social and cultural fabric.
