Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain announces final stages of Tal Al-Zainabi site development

The Department of Expansion Projects at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain announced the continuation of development works at the Tal Al-Zainabi Site, located within the Courtyard of Al-Aqeela Zainab (peace be upon her) project, which represents the first phase of the major expansion of the Courtyard of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).

In a statement, the Department confirmed that the project has entered its final stages, describing it as one of the key components of the broader expansion initiative surrounding the Holy Shrine.

According to the statement, the project is being carried out through comprehensive engineering and architectural works that reflect significant advancements in both design and implementation. The area of the site has been expanded from 300 square meters to nearly 3,000 square meters, increasing its capacity to accommodate visitors and providing a more spacious environment for worshippers and pilgrims.

The Department explained that the project includes the use of high-quality natural marble for exterior and interior cladding, in addition to decorative Karbalaey glazed tiles adorned with intricate Islamic motifs that complement the spiritual and historical character of the site.

It further noted that the Tal Al-Zainabi Site development represents a major milestone within the Courtyard of Al-Aqeela Zainab (peace be upon her) project and forms part of ongoing efforts to upgrade the infrastructure surrounding the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain and improve services offered to visitors and pilgrims.
