The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Iraq, Mr. Jan Snaidauf, visited the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine on Wednesday, October 16, 2025, where he praised the shrine’s projects and ongoing urban development initiatives.

During the visit, Ambassador Snaidauf met with the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, Sayed Mustafa Murtada Al-Dia'uddin, in the presence of Board Member Sayed Kadhem Obada, Director of the Secretary-General’s Office Sayed Jawad Al-Hasnawi, and several department officials.

The ambassador expressed his admiration for the progress he observed at the shrine, noting the Czech Republic’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Iraq and its religious institutions.

Snaidauf commended the shrine’s various projects — including universities, schools, and other development initiatives — for their quality and durability, expressing his country’s desire to explore potential partnerships to further support and enhance these efforts.
