Book Fair of ‘Rahmatun Lil'Alameen’ International Festival kicks off in Karbala
The area between the two holy shrines of Imam Hussain and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) in Karbala witnessed the opening of a book fair, held as part of the activities of the First ‘Rahmatun Lil'Alameen’ International Festival. The event, organized by the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, marks the 1500th anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
According to our correspondent, the opening ceremony was attended by Sayyed Abbas Musa Ahmad, Deputy Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, alongside a number of officials and representatives from participating shrines.
The exhibition will continue from the 15th to the 20th of Rabi' Al-Awwal, with participation from the holy shrines of Imam Ali, Imam Hussain, and Al-Askariyain (peace be upon them), in addition to the Secretariat of the Grand Mosque of Kufa and the Al-Sahla Mosque. The Al-Abbas Holy Shrine also presents a dedicated pavilion that showcases various departments and intellectual centers focused on the life and teachings of the Prophet.
Among those participating from the Shrine are the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, the Holy Quran Scientific Complex, the Supreme Authority for the Revival of Heritage, and the Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs Department, along with several specialized research and academic institutions.
This diverse participation reflects the Shrine’s commitment to promoting Islamic knowledge and honoring the legacy of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) through cultural and scholarly engagement.
