Al-Saadawi stated that the Ministry began implementing the plan on the first day of the month of Safar, starting with the transport of pilgrims from the Diyala and Wasit border crossings. This effort is being carried out in coordination with service and security committees to ensure smooth and secure travel to Karbala.

He emphasized that all departments and formations within the Ministry of Transport are actively involved in supporting the pilgrimage. The Private Transport Company has been tasked with managing, organizing, and overseeing the deployment of the 450 vehicles, which vary in capacity.

According to the Minister, the Passengers and Delegations Company will contribute 450 buses, including double-decker buses, while the Railway Company will operate 12 trains to support the transportation effort. Additionally, the Maritime Transport Company, Ports Company, and Land Transport Company will assist along major roads leading to Karbala from various directions, including the Karbala-Baghdad and Karbala-Hussainiya routes.

Al-Saadawi also confirmed that the Ministry will provide essential services to pilgrims during their journey, including water, ice, and other support provisions.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Najaf, Youssef Makki Kanawi, welcomed Minister Al-Saadawi’s visit to review the governorate's transportation plan and inspect operations at Najaf International Airport.

Governor Kanawi stated, "We were honored by the Minister’s visit to Najaf. We reviewed the transportation arrangements for pilgrims and discussed the operational plan for Najaf Airport to ensure the organized departure of pilgrims."
