The Supreme Religious Authority in Najaf has reiterated its strong condemnation of the ongoing military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, including any threat directed at its religious and political leadership.

In a statement issued by the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Al-Sistani, the Authority warned that such acts of aggression—beyond their blatant violation of religious and moral principles, and their clear breach of international laws and norms—carry the risk of grave and far-reaching consequences. The statement cautioned that this escalation could lead to widespread chaos, a complete breakdown of regional stability, and increased suffering for the people of the region, while gravely undermining the interests of all involved.

The Supreme Religious Authority called on all influential international figures, particularly Islamic countries, to intensify their efforts to end this unjust war. It further urged the pursuit of a just and peaceful resolution to the Iranian nuclear issue, in full accordance with international legal frameworks.
