As Saudi Arabia prepares for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage, a new AI-powered assistant is set to help guide and support pilgrims at the Grand Mosque in Mecca. The innovative robot blends Islamic tradition with cutting-edge technology to enhance the spiritual experience of millions of worshippers.

On Wednesday, the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque unveiled the second-generation Manarat Al-Haramain Robot. This upgraded version is part of a broader initiative to integrate advanced technologies into religious services.

The robot's design and software interface feature elements inspired by traditional Islamic art and architecture found in the Two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina. The Presidency noted that the fusion of authenticity, innovation, and advanced functionality aims to make information more accessible and enrich the overall pilgrimage experience.
