The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through its Exhibitions Division, took part in the 29th Muscat International Book Fair held in the Sultanate of Oman, showcasing its cultural and intellectual contributions on a global stage.

Ali Mamitha, head of the Exhibitions Division and leader of the delegation, told Karbala Now News Agency that such events serve as vital platforms for international cultural exchange and allow the Holy Shrine to present itself beyond its religious and spiritual significance. “These holy sites are not only centers for worship and pilgrimage but have also become major sources of knowledge through their research centers and educational efforts,” he said.

The Holy Shrine’s pavilion featured 450 publications, including encyclopedias, journals, and books on heritage, religion, and doctrine—all researched, written, and published by the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him). Mamitha noted that the pavilion attracted significant attention and appreciation from visitors.

Fair Director Ahmed bin Saud Al-Rawahy stated that this year’s event, held under the theme "Cultural Diversity: The Richness of Civilizations," brought together 674 publishing houses from 35 countries. Of these, 640 participated directly and 34 through local agencies.

The fair showcased over 681,000 titles, including more than 467,000 in Arabic and over 213,000 in other languages.
