Imam Hussain Holy Shrine delegation participates in opening homes for the poor in Suwaira
A delegation from the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) took part in the opening ceremony of the eighteenth home for impoverished families in Al-Suwaira, Wasit Province. This home is part of a broader initiative aimed at supporting the poor and needy in the region.
Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, Director of the Bayna Center for Intellectual and Cultural Security, told Karbala Now that the Holy Shrine remains committed to supporting the people of Al-Suwaira by helping to complete the construction of the remaining houses. He also praised the efforts of the Al-Suwaira Mawkib in providing housing for underprivileged families, emphasizing its significant role in improving living conditions.
“These initiatives reflect the humanitarian and religious values that the Holy Shrine seeks to uphold,” Al-Qarawi said. “Access to adequate housing is a fundamental right, particularly for needy families.”
He added that the project is part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s broader efforts to support the local community in Wasit Province, with active participation from local residents.
