Al-Zahra University hosts delegation from Chinese university to strengthen international partnerships
Al-Zahra University, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), hosted a delegation from Nanjing University, China. The meeting aimed to enhance scientific and research collaboration and align the visions of both universities.
The Assistant President of the University, Dr. Zuhair Muhammad Ali, stated, “We hosted a delegation from Nanjing University, China, with the presence of Dr. Ghaida Abdul Hussein Al-Mulla, Dean of the College of Information Technology, and Dr. Lama Majeed, Director of the Al-Zahra Center for Medical and Pharmaceutical Research.”
He explained that the meeting aimed to strengthen scientific and research collaboration, while leveraging the technological and intellectual advancements of the People's Republic of China to achieve pioneering outcomes that will enhance Iraq's educational landscape.
Several proposals were discussed, including the establishment of joint laboratories, developing a policy for collaborative publishing, and implementing strategies to facilitate joint research in the medical and information fields.
Ali added, “This cooperation reflects Al-Zahra University's commitment to advancing scientific research and strengthening international partnerships that align with global developments, benefiting the country's educational process.”
Nanjing University in China is regarded as one of the top universities, ranked 96th in the Shanghai rankings, 120th in the QS rankings, and 93rd in the Times rankings.
