The Department of Youth Development and Social Rehabilitation - Arts and Theatre Division, affiliated with Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, launched a course on the art of pantomime (silent shows) for youth in Karbala.

Ali Zaki Al-Tamimi, head of the Department of Youth Development and Social Rehabilitation, stated to the Karbala International Agency, "The workshop witnessed a distinguished interaction and attendance starting from the kick-off, as the participants expressed their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn this art."

He added, "The art of pantomimists has great importance in developing the skills of physical expression and creativity among youth. Therefore, we seek to teach the participants about the art of pantomime and its history, in addition to the basics of physical expression, noting that the course provides the opportunity to fill youths' leisure time."
