Al-Thaqalain Cultural Centre, affiliated with the Intellectual Affairs Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, organised an educational seminar on electronic blackmail protection in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior.

Sheikh Fahim Al-Ibrahimi, the centre's director, stated, "We held this seminar according to the guidance of his eminence, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, on the necessity of raising awareness about the impact and influence of the Internet on our youths' minds. The centre held this conference under Electronic Blackmail, in cooperation with the Technology and Informatics Department at the Ministry of Interior."

He added, "This conference aims to protect our society from the risks of phones, the Internet, and blackmailers, noting that the Holy Shrine strives to share awareness about blackmailing."

Colonel Eng Ziad Al-Kalkawi, Director of Information Technology in the Karbala Governorate, said, "the directives of His Excellency the Minister of the Interior and the Undersecretariat to hold such seminars and workshops in the field of electronic crimes."
